Scottie Scheffler may withdraw from The Masters as Augusta competitor makes identical commitment – Daily Star

The first major of the year, the Masters, is scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 11 at Augusta and will conclude on April 14. However, 27-year-old golfer Scottie Scheffler may not participate until the final day due to his wife, Meredith Scudder, being close to delivering their first child. Scheffler expressed his excitement about the impending arrival and described it as a significant moment for their family.

The couple, who met in college in Texas and got married in December 2020, are approaching this new chapter with great anticipation. The Golf Channel reported on Scheffler’s uncertain participation in the event. Meanwhile, an image taken at a previous tournament featuring Scheffler and his wife was shared to illustrate their life journey up until this point.

Although both wives of the golfers, Scottie Scheffler and Caroline, are currently expecting, neither have accompanied their husbands to the Masters due to being in their third trimester. Scottie’s wife, Meredith, has three weeks remaining until her due date, while Caroline is expecting to give birth in just over a week. As the tournament approaches, Scheffler’s focus is divided between his professional commitment and the impending addition to his family.
