The royal couple were celebrating Harry’s team victory at the Royal Salute Polo Challenge when an incident occurred. In a video shared on Instagram, Meghan appeared to ask an unnamed woman not to stand next to her husband while posing for a photo. The clip showed Meghan ascending the winners’ stage in a cream dress, receiving the charity match trophy, and posing with the winning team. Harry was seen keeping one hand around Meghan as they smiled for the photograph.
However, Meghan became visibly uneasy when an unidentified woman in a white dress joined the stage and stood next to Harry. Meghan tried to reposition the group, and after repeating herself three times, the woman moved away. The group then posed again with the trophy, with Harry appearing to stay out of the conflict. The event was in support of Sentebale, which aims to help young people affected by HIV/AIDS diagnoses, particularly those in Lesotho.
Meghan was accompanied by tennis legend and close friend Serena Williams at the $1,600-a-ticket event.
