On Saturday night (April 13), the Geordie duo returned for their epic two-hour final after 20 years on screen. They vowed to throw “the party to end all parties” to polish off the last-ever episode. The show was extended to two hours and featured many hilarious moments and segments.
Celebrities such as Alison Hammond, Girls Aloud, and Josie Gibson also made appearances. Ant, Dec, and several famous faces sang along to their swan song on stage. The credits then appeared at the bottom of the screen.
The pair competed in a penalty shoot-out hosted by their co-star Stephen Mulhern, with each star tasked with taking five goals. When Dec was crowned the winner, Ant rugby tackled Stephen, who was dressed as a giant trophy, to the ground. After the show returned from an ad break, Ant was seen dabbing his face on the main stage, prompting his co-star to ask about his injury.
It was at this point that Ant revealed he had accidentally cut his face on Stephen’s costume and was bleeding.
