A 40-year-old former striker, known for playing for both Manchester teams, was admitted to a clinic in the affluent Buenos Aires district of San Isidro after seeking medical attention. The retired player, who now manages Argentinian top-flight team Independiente, is scheduled for further tests at a nearby hospital.
Independiente initially denied the hospitalization, but later confirmed the news about their coach, Carlos Tevez, seeking medical attention for chest pain. Tevez is set to undergo further medical examinations at the Finochietto Hospital in Buenos Aires.
This is not the first time that the player, who has a history of high blood pressure, has undergone health checks. Meanwhile, in a separate incident, Wayne Rooney named Tevez as his favorite team-mate throughout his football career.
