Boxer, 27, passes away three weeks after brutal knockout and induced coma – Daily Star

Heavyweight boxer Ardi Ndembo has sadly passed away three weeks after being knocked out and falling into a coma. The fatal incident occurred during a match with Nestor Santana in the Team Combat League in Florida. Following the knockout, Ndembo was immediately taken to a local hospital, where he was induced into a coma. Despite the medical care, he tragically did not recover.

Viva Promotions, the organization behind the fight, issued a statement expressing their sorrow over Ndembo’s death. Tributes and condolences from fans and well-wishers have flooded social media, with many expressing their sadness and paying their respects. In response to the tragedy, a fundraiser has been set up to support Ndembo’s family, raising over $11,000 (£8,700) so far. Additionally, Team Combat League has pledged to match third-party donations up to a limit of $25,000 to help the Ndembo children.

The fundraiser stresses the importance of providing support to the family during this difficult time and requests respecting their privacy. Ardi Ndembo, a 27-year-old father of two, hails from Brazzaville, Congo. The fundraiser appeals to people to offer their strength, prayers, and financial assistance to the Ndembo family in their time of need.
