James Collins found himself in an amusing situation when he requested a taxi back to London while in Dubai. Despite this, he enjoyed indulging in alcoholic drinks during his time with the Hammers.
During his second stint with the club, Collins frequented the services of a taxi driver named Bubbles, who would drive them around for £22 a month. Bubbles was employed by their friend Lee, who owned a company in east London.
According to Collins, Bubbles would pick them up anytime and anywhere, providing them with reliable transportation. Collins shared a particularly memorable experience when he got intoxicated during one of Sam Allardyce’s well-known trips to Dubai.
Unable to find his way home, he phoned Bubbles to come and pick him up.
