South Yorkshire football is currently experiencing a rough patch. This became apparent when a Doncaster fan named Paul called into BBC Sheffield’s Praise or Grumble show to discuss the team’s 1-1 draw with Sutton United. However, Paul quickly became incoherent and abruptly left to go to the pub. His departure left the host and fans bewildered, with some finding the situation amusing and others hoping for Paul to return to the show.
Despite the interruption, the show’s host was barely able to get a word in during Paul’s call. The hope is that Paul enjoyed his time at the pub and will call into the show again to share his football insights.
