The world’s greatest steeplechase, the Grand National, is scheduled to start at 4pm on Saturday, April 13. This year’s race will see Corach Rambler attempt to secure back-to-back wins for Scottish trainer Lucinda Russell.
The start time has been adjusted, now taking place 1 hour and 15 minutes earlier than in the previous year, in a move geared towards equine welfare. Corach Rambler faces tough competition from a strong Irish contingent, including the likes of handlers Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott, who each have multiple runners.
The top 10 finishers will receive prize money, with the second-place finisher netting £211,000 and the 10th-place finisher receiving £1,000. With the confirmed 34-horse line-up, sweepstakers have the opportunity to join in and try their luck.
