There was plenty of partying at the end of the season. Ex-Germany defender Babbel was surprised by how hard his team-mates, particularly Jamie Carragher and Robbie Fowler, celebrated the trio of trophies.
He mentioned that Carragher and Fowler could drink in an unbelievable amount and emphasized the importance of celebrating victories in such a highly competitive industry. Carragher’s drinking habits changed after a conversation with Gerard Houllier, the Liverpool boss.
He was called over in training to discuss his weekend activities.
