Man Utd legend confesses to causing motorcyclist’s leg injury in shocking accident – Daily Star

Nicky Butt, a member of United’s legendary Class of 92, has been given a driving ban after admitting to causing serious injury to a motorcyclist. The incident resulted in the motorcyclist, Andrew Fielden, requiring surgery and rods being inserted into his left leg. Butt appeared in Blackburn Magistrates’ Court and admitted to a charge of careless driving causing serious injury.

He was issued an interim driving ban and a date for his sentencing is yet to be decided. The possible penalties for the offense include a two-year prison sentence and an unlimited fine. During the incident at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court, the prosecutor Graeme Tindall described the events, indicating that a number of vehicles passed what looked like a HGV.

In a separate matter, the former non-league club avoided relegation from the Football League with the help of former Oxford and MK Dons boss Karl Robinson, who took over in January.
