Kenny Miller, now 44 years old, was in the midst of his best goal-scoring season, having scored 22 goals in 25 games for the Scottish team before deciding to move to Turkey mid-season. His brief stint in Turkey with Bursaspor saw him play 15 games and score five goals.
Despite the fanfare surrounding his arrival, Miller spent just six months with the team before leaving. Although his time in the Super Lig was short, Miller looks back on his European adventure with fondness, describing the mid-season move as an “incredible experience.”
He expressed that he has no regrets about his time in Turkey, but does wish he had stayed with Rangers for the remainder of the season. Miller also mentioned that the club made efforts to help him settle in, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out due to his family situation.
In an interview, Miller reflected on his time in Turkey, expressing gratitude for the support he received from the club and acknowledging that he never lacked anything during his time there. Despite his positive outlook, he acknowledged that his decision to leave was influenced by personal circumstances, emphasizing that his family situation ultimately led to his departure.
