Oldest conjoined twins in the world, who ‘shared 30% of their brains,’ pass away at 62 – Daily Star

The world’s oldest conjoined twins have tragically passed away at the age of 62. George and Lori gained attention when George, previously known as Dori, came out as transgender. George, who had spina bifida and used a wheelchair, was supported by Lori, who pushed the wheelchair. Despite doctors’ predictions that they wouldn’t live past 30, the twins defied the odds.

George pursued a successful career as a country singer, while Lori excelled in ten-pin bowling, winning several trophies. During the 1990s, Lori worked at a hospital laundry and organized her schedule to accommodate George’s performances. The pair’s adventurous spirit led them to travel to various countries such as Germany and Japan for George’s singing engagements. They maintained an independent lifestyle, residing in a two-bedroom apartment in Pennsylvania.

Each twin had their own bedroom, rotating between the two each night, and they even showered separately using a shower curtain as a divider. Refusing to part ways, George expressed, “Would we be separated? Absolutely not.” Lori and George made appearances on several TV shows, including Jerry Springer and The Howard Stern Radio Show.

They are survived by their father and six siblings.
