The former Liverpool striker recently shared a harrowing experience on ‘That Peter Crouch Podcast’. The incident occurred after he and Vinnie Jones met up for a game of golf following an encounter during a holiday.
Both Crouch and Jones are avid golfers and decided to hail a taxi to get to the golf course. However, their journey took a turn for the worse when the driver missed their exit on the motorway, leading to Jones becoming visibly angry.
In response to the error, Jones compelled the driver to reverse down the hard shoulder of the motorway against oncoming traffic, in order to return to the correct exit. Despite the perilous move, the pair managed to arrive at their golf session on time.
The ex-England international revealed that the experience was characteristic of Jones, admitting that it was a nerve-wracking situation but they ultimately made it to their destination as planned.
