The Liverpool fan Jarred Gillett lived a childhood dream when he saw former Reds skipper Steven Gerrard score a late winner against Italian giants in an event. However, this was to be his last time officiating any game at Anfield due to his allegiance to the Merseyside club.
Following the Liverpool Legends fixture, it was revealed that Jarred Gillett’s fandom for the Reds led to the decision that it would be his final Anfield outing. It was explained that Jarred Gillett had to fill out a document when he agreed to join the referees’ board at Liverpool, where he had to specify the team he supported as a boy.
Since he indicated that it was Liverpool, he was taken off all their games, whether at home or away. This decision marked the end of his officiating at Anfield.
In addition to informing the community of the decision, the text also mentioned that community members are treated to various offerings including competitions, special offers, promotions, and adverts from the group and its partners. It was mentioned that those who choose to leave the community can do so by clicking on the name at the top of the screen and selecting “Exit group.”
