The Spanish news site Ultima Hora recently reported an incident involving a woman who found bugs in her coffee at an airport. Upon taking a sip, she noticed an unusual taste and later discovered the bug infestation.
This also caused patches of swelling on her skin. Following the incident, the woman’s family filed a complaint against the airport to the National Police, stating that the presence of bugs in the coffee cup may constitute a crime against public health.
Additionally, they alleged that the poorly maintained machine posed a risk of injury. The woman was released earlier on Wednesday, April 24.
In a separate but similar incident, shocking footage from a Canadian AirTransat plane showed pest control officers spraying seats with pesticide, leading to a 24-hour delay for the flight to Vancouver. Passengers on board reported beetles falling from the airplane ceiling, with one sharing a photo of the insects and describing them as brown beetles with wings.
The Daily Star reached out to airport operator Aena for comment on the matter.
