Baker made 47 appearances across all formats. His last came against Durham in the County Championship just last month. And his death was announced just a day before he appeared for Worcestershire’s second XI.

Worcestershire stated they would not be making any further comments during this sensitive period.
More tributes have flooded in following the tragic news, with a statement from the ECB reading: “The ECB is desperately sad to learn of the passing of Josh Baker. This is devastating news. Thoughts with all his family & close friends.”
