Ed Woodward lands new role in football two years after departing Manchester United – Daily Star

In 2005, Woodward advised Malcolm Glazer to purchase the club and subsequently spent 15 years in various roles at Old Trafford. His newest role will see him take on slightly more magnanimous responsibilities after he was named to the board of trustees of Bloomsbury Football. Bloomsbury is a foundation that works closely with local community groups in London to aid young people in the hope of improving mental and physical health.

Woodward was confirmed in November to have been appointed as a strategic advisor and non-executive board member of AI sports company Sentient Sports. He saw “tremendous potential” in the company, which he predicted could “revolutionize the global digital sports landscape.” During his time at United, the club took some of its commercial prospects to new heights, though on-field results and fan satisfaction suffered terribly.

He left in 2022 and was replaced by Richard Arnold as the club’s most senior executive.
