Arsenal has used two different badges on their home and away kits this season, and the potential home kit for the 2024-25 season was leaked, featuring the new logo used on this season’s away kit. This echoes a similar situation with their black away kit in the 2022-23 season when they narrowly missed winning the Premier League title.
The decision to change their crest has been less controversial than their initial rebrand in 2002, which saw the cannon flipped from west to east and other artistic features removed. The Arsenal motto, “Victoria Concordia Crescit” (“Victory Through Harmony”), was also removed from the emblem, sparking fury among supporters.
Despite initial anger, the logo has remained on all their jerseys for the last 20 years. Arsenal fans have not experienced the same level of backlash as Juventus fans did when their crest was changed, providing some relief for supporters.
