Arturo Vidal anuncia su regreso a su antiguo club como un caballero a caballo frente a 35,000 fanáticos – Daily Star

Transfer announcements are often predictable, but Arturo Vidal surprised everyone by arriving at his former club Colo-Colo dressed as a knight and riding a horse. The club initially planned an unusual introduction for him, which was later discarded for an even more extraordinary entrance. Vidal was flown into the stadium by helicopter, put on a medieval costume, rode a horse around the grounds, and was given a crown, a giant sword, and a Game of Thrones-style cape. Despite the silliness of his trademark mohawk, the stadium was filled with fans to welcome him back.

Vidal expressed his emotions about the helicopter entrance and how the Colo-Colo fans made him feel loved. He began his career with Colo-Colo’s first team before moving to Leverkusen in 2007, then to Juventus in 2011 where he won four consecutive Serie A titles. After Juventus, he joined Bayern Munich, then Barcelona, and finally Inter Milan in 2020, where he continued his winning streak, becoming champions in 2021. Vidal is also one of Chile’s most capped players and part of the country’s golden generation alongside Alexis Sanchez, Claudio Bravo, and Gary Medel, with whom he won the Copa America in 2015 and 2016, ending Chile’s century-long wait for the tournament victory.
