Barcelona’s Decision to Pass on Kylian Mbappe for Nou Camp Flop – Daily Star

Kylian Mbappe joined PSG from Monaco for £166 million in 2018. He had spent the previous season on loan in Paris, making him the second most expensive player in the world. It was revealed that he could have joined Barcelona for €100 million, but the team opted to pursue other options, such as Dembele, due to the club’s existing players.

Dembele, however, has not fulfilled his potential at PSG, scoring just twice in 35 games. Instead of Mbappe, Barcelona used the money to acquire players like Coutinho, Dembele, Paulinho, and Semedo.
