Boyfriend’s Absurd Tip Helps Pointless Contestant Win Any Football Question on Daily Star

The iconic BBC gameshow Pointless was the stage for a legendary TV moment in 2017. Contestants Tasha and Jo won the jackpot of £2,250 with an unexpected answer, thanks to a wild football advice from Tasha’s boyfriend.

The pair was presented with three categories to choose from: a Euro 2000 goalscorer, a Brit Award winner from the same year, or an actor/actress from the film Snatch. Despite not being football fans, Tasha and Jo opted for the first option, and Tasha surprised everyone by correctly naming Sweden legend Henrik Larsson.

Amusingly, Tasha’s boyfriend advised her to guess Larsson, citing his association with Man U, Celtic, and Barcelona. Their gamble paid off splendidly, leaving host Richard Osman dazzled and prompting contestant Jo to suggest taking their football hero out for a drink.

Henrik Larsson was in his prime with Celtic at the time, having played for the club from 1997 to 2004. He then went on to have a successful international career, scoring 37 goals in 106 appearances for Sweden before retiring in 2009.
