Didier Drogba, 45, did not win the tournament during his playing days, but he celebrated Ivory Coast’s victory in the AFCON tournament as a staunch supporter alongside his girlfriend, Gabrielle Lemaire. The pair were seen together during the final at the Stade Alassane Ouattara-Ebimpe, with Drogba briefly running in celebration after Franck Kessie’s equaliser in the 62nd minute. Sebastien Haller’s winning goal sent the home crowd into wild celebrations, securing Ivory Coast’s third AFCON title in their history.
Cameras focused on Drogba and Lemaire, who have been in a public relationship since early 2022. Lemaire, in her own right, is an entrepreneur, CEO of Barons Agence Consil En Communication, and the vice-president of the Didier Drogba Foundation. Drogba later announced their separation on Instagram, expressing that despite their split after 20 years together, they remain very close and committed to protecting their children and family’s private life.
