Dinner Lady Wins £3m Omaze Coastal Home, Celebrates with Large Brandy

Rose Doyle, a 73-year-old woman from Birmingham, recently won a plush five-bedroom house in Cornwall and £100,000 in cash in a lottery organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature, raising a total of £3.1 million. The lavish house, which also includes a hot tub and panoramic views of the Cornish landscape, came mortgage-free with all legal fees covered. Rose expressed her disbelief at winning such a valuable prize, stating that she never thought something like this could happen to her.

The news of Rose’s win was met with celebration in the local community, with neighbors coming out to congratulate her and her family. Despite their overwhelming stroke of luck, Rose and her husband Tony, who have lived in their three-bedroom house in Birmingham for nearly 45 years, found it hard to believe that they now owned a £3 million mansion in Cornwall. Rose also mentioned that they had been to Cornwall once before for a family holiday in the eighties and never imagined owning a property there.

The couple now looks forward to the possibilities of hosting house parties and enjoying a new lifestyle in their new home, which holds great significance for their family. Entries for the next Omaze Million Pound House Draw in Cheshire are currently open, with online entries closing on April 28th, 2024, and postal entries closing on April 30th, 2024.
