EFL Chairman Reveals Frustration with ‘Nauseating’ Issue Surrounding ‘Whole Wrexham Thing’ – Daily Star

Property magnate MacAnthony, born in Dublin and raised in Marbella from the age of 15, has been enjoying watching Wrexham’s prospects transformed since the arrival of their Hollywood investors. However, he is not pleased with the increased coverage of the club. He acknowledges that the club wants to attract an American audience, but he points out that there are 72 EFL clubs out there. Despite his reservations about the coverage, Wrexham’s success is evident as Phil Parkinson’s side sits second in their division, just four points off leaders Stockport County with a few games remaining.

MacAnthony emphasizes that his words are not driven by jealousy. He believes that Wrexham has the financial advantage because they can afford to pay higher wages to players compared to his own team, stating that this is the dynamic of the game. He further expresses his respect for anyone who can turn a project with minimal investment into a profitable venture, as he believes the Hollywood investors could make a significant profit if they were to sell Wrexham in the future.
