Fulham player unexpectedly wins Premier League Player of the Month, breaks down in tears – Daily Star

Rodrigo Muniz, a Brazilian player, won an award for scoring four goals in four consecutive games in March, following another four goals in February. While being interviewed at Craven Cottage, his teammates surprised him with the trophy, which led to an emotional moment for Muniz, who shed tears as he thanked them. The heartwarming scene was captured on film and received positive reactions from viewers.

Muniz’s worth came into question given his initial struggles in his first season, where he scored only five times in 28 games and was subsequently loaned out to Middlesbrough. Following a minimal improvement in performance, a change in plans for Fulham after a player departure allowed Muniz to showcase his skills. Since then, he has scored eight goals in 10 games, proving to be an asset for the £6 million transfer fee Fulham invested in him.
