Heatwave Forecasts for Specific Areas as Some Britons Continue to Experience Rainy Weather

Last week, Storm Kathleen, the 11th named storm in six months, caused widespread flooding across the country. Many areas such as Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester, and Sheffield are expected to have temperatures of around 18C.

However, Cornwall and south Wales may experience heavy rainfall despite the warmer weather. The Met Office predicts low cloud, fog, and patchy light rain or drizzle in the southernmost counties of England and parts of Wales today.

The far northeast is expected to have clear spells, while the southeast will be mostly dry but cloudy. Friday is expected to feel warm in the sunshine, although some areas may experience windy conditions.

Cooler temperatures and light winds are anticipated for Monday, along with more rainfall across the country. Showers are likely to become more widespread and heavier on Monday, with temperatures returning to average, according to the Met Office.
