Inter wins Serie A with three red cards in chaotic Milan derby – Daily Star

The San Siro showdown was largely uneventful until a scuffle broke out in the 93rd minute, resulting in the dismissals of Theo Hernandez and Denzel Dumfries. Milan’s Rafael Leao instigated the incident by jumping on Inter midfielder Davide Frattesi, leading to a heated confrontation involving several players.

As a result, both Hernandez and Dumfries were sent off. Shortly after, Milan’s Davide Calabria was also shown a red card for striking Carlos Augusto in the face during a set piece.

With these dismissals, Milan will be without two key defenders in the upcoming matches. Simone Inzaghi, the manager of Inter, celebrated his first Scudetto win as a manager, having previously achieved the title as a player at Lazio in 2000.

Inzaghi is no stranger to on-field altercations from his time as a player in Italy’s top flight. The intense rivalry between the two teams raises the question: which two teams have the fiercest derby in football?
