Luke Littler receives jeers from Liverpool darts crowd, but Man Utd fan delivers ideal comeback

The 17-year-old sensation has been a darling of the crowd virtually everywhere he’s been this year. He received more boos as he made his way onto the stage, but they certainly didn’t hinder his performance as he stormed to a rapid 6-3 win over the Welshman to book a semi-final spot later in the night. The darts sensation was only 16 when he wowed Alexandra Palace at the World Darts Championship (WDC), despite a final loss to Luke Humphries. The Nuke will continue playing against seven of the best dart players in the world — Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price, Michael Smith, Nathan Aspinall, Rob Cross and Peter Wright — in a mini-tournament in a different city every Thursday until the final in May.

One posted on X: “Luke Littler knows the score [laughing face emoji].” Another laughed: “Go on fella, rub it in their faces!” However, a Liverpool fan hit back, saying: “Should probably worry about United’s form.” Another fumed: “Typical United fan.

Club in the gutter, poke at Liverpool.” *What did you think of Littler’s pre-match antics? I’ll be looking to get a few more points on the board tonight.” Littler hasn’t had too much to crow about football-wise this season. And despite United being action against Sheffield United on Wednesday, the youngster opted to watch the Merseyside derby instead.

Asked what he thought of the game, he said with a smirk: “It was a good result for Everton.”
