Manager Substitutes Goalkeeper After Just 20 Seconds of Debut for Brutal Reason – Daily Star

Slovenian side NK Rogaska faced a surprising turn of events during their match against Olimpija Ljubljana. On Sunday, 17-year-old goalkeeper Zan Lorber made his senior debut, only to be substituted just 20 seconds into the game.

The team, missing their first-choice keeper, Rok Vodicek, opted to start Lorber, who had previously never played for the first team. However, he was quickly replaced by Bosnian stopper Adjin Mulalic, who arrived at the club on loan the previous month.

The substitution was pre-planned and executed immediately after kick-off. Lorbar left the field, heading straight down the tunnel without any apparent interaction with the team’s bench.

Despite this, NK Rogaska performed well in the first half, leading 2-0 with an early own goal and a second from Patrik Mijic. However, Olimpija Ljubljana fought back in the second half, drawing level in added time and securing a 2-2 finish.

The team’s strong start and subsequent disappointment highlight the dramatic events of the match, including the unprecedented early substitution and the emotional toll it took on the young goalkeeper.
