National League club set to play four games in under a week as hectic end to season approaches.

The Tynesiders are currently in a battle to secure a play-off spot and are in pole position to do so, but their jam-packed schedule is a cause for concern. They will now host the confirmed league champions on Monday, April 15, before they welcome The Shots on Wednesday, April 17. However, after losing 2-0 away at Fylde on Thursday, Elliot’s side travel to Maidenhead United on Saturday before they play Chesterfield two days later.

That busy run extends to Wednesday before the final game of the season next Saturday (April 20). What do you reckon Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola would make of Gateshead’s run-in? If Gateshead can finish in the play-off spots – a prospect that is currently in their own hands – then they will be back in action the following Tuesday (April 23) or Wednesday (April 24) in the play-off eliminator should they finish below 3rd place.

The play-off semi-finals will be held on Saturday, April 28, and the final the next Saturday (May 4). Also in a similar position to the Tynesiders is 7th placed FC Halifax Town, who also have four games left to play before the season’s end, though they’re yet to confirm a date for the postponed fixture at home against Oldham Athletic.
