OJ Simpson’s cause of death confirmed after disgraced NFL star died at 76 – Daily Star

Simpson, an American football legend, passed away on April 10 after being released from the hospice to be with his loved ones. He had spent 11 seasons primarily with the Buffalo Bills.

In October 1995, Simpson was acquitted of charges, but three years later, he was found liable in a civil suit and ordered to pay $33.5 million in damages. He fulfilled little of this payment.

Reports from January indicated that Simpson was seen walking with a cane, indicating he was suffering from the effects of his treatment. In February, his family announced his prostate diagnosis and chemotherapy treatment.

His passing was confirmed by his family through a statement on social media, noting that he was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. They also requested privacy and grace for the Simpson Family during this time.

In 2007, Simpson was charged with armed robbery and kidnapping, leading to a 33-year prison sentence in 2008. He was granted parole in 2017 after serving nine years in prison and in 2021, he was granted an early release from his parole.
