Police Investigating Wembley Brawl as Peterborough Fans Clash – Daily Star

Peterborough took the lead in the game, with skipper Harrison Burrows scoring with just five minutes left on the clock. However, they were pegged back by an 89th-minute equalizer from Dale Taylor. Moments later, Burrows scored his second goal with a remarkable curling cross that looped over the head of the Wanderers keeper, reminiscent of Ronaldinho against David Seaman-style.

Aside from the on-field drama, there was also off-field drama as fans were involved in a brawl, resulting in some being knocked over seats and down stairs. Security staff had to intervene to break up the fight. A clip of the altercation went viral on social media, and the Metropolitan Police released a statement indicating that while no arrests had been made, inquiries were ongoing.

Police officers were also aware of social media footage, and there were no reported injuries. Witnesses were urged to come forward and assist with the ongoing inquiries. The reason for the fight is currently unknown, and the team under Darren Ferguson is ranked fourth in League One with a chance of securing automatic promotion.
