Ronnie O’Sullivan avoids snooker and ‘opinions’ by watching TV shows about pizza – Daily Star

Next up is a second round clash against Welsh qualifier Ryan Day, which starts on Sunday. O’Sullivan mentions that part of his reasoning for avoiding watching the World Championship is to steer clear of the wealth of opinions, often about him, that swirl around during the event.

Featuring interviews with current players, legends of the baize, pundits, TV presenters, World Snooker Tour management, and other characters from behind the scenes, the coverage serves as a perfect addition to this year’s World Championship. O’Sullivan admitted to not keeping up with the snooker, preferring to watch Netflix shows like the Blue Zone and Chef’s Table about pizzas, expressing that he tries not to engage with the game due to the abundance of opinions and the amount of snooker involved.

Regarding the possibility of Ronnie winning his eighth world title this year, he has been critical of the Sheffield venue and expressed openness to the tournament relocating to Saudi Arabia or China. He mentioned that definitely it’s a wise decision to move it away from Sheffield, but not over 17 days.

He emphasized the need for a massive space to accommodate the event and suggested places like Saudi Arabia or major Chinese cities as potential hosting locations.
