The Hells Angels are known for using extreme violence, even being caught with rocket launchers. They maintain a constant state of war with other biker gangs and believe they are the best, often clashing with those who oppose them. Some gang members engage in hand-to-hand combat, guns, stabbings, and brutal beatings without hesitation.
The Hells Angels’ “us and them mentality” perpetuates their conflict with other biker gangs, leading to a belief that there should be no other gangs in the world. Jay Dobyns, a former ATF agent, infiltrated the American Hells Angels for three years, resulting in the arrest of 50 members. He described them as having a “PHD in violence and intimidation” and stated that they have been recognized for their extreme violence over the past 75 years.
The Hells Angels claim not to be a criminal organization but acknowledge the presence of criminals within their club.
