British people’s top vacation pursuits – including museums and boat tours – according to the Daily Star

The favorite activities of Brits while on holiday include a boat trip (55%) or visiting a museum (44%), according to research. Thirty-five percent feel it’s important to know the duration of an excursion, indicating the value placed on time during holidays.

More than half (52%) believe in making the most of their time away, with 36% seeking a variety of experiences and 32% looking for quick and secure bookings. Additionally, 30% prefer a website that clearly lists all available trips and excursions.

In decision-making, clear pricing (51%) and customer reviews (36%) are important factors for travelers. 55% prioritize getting the best value for their money.

Despite this knowledge, the research of 2,000 adults revealed that the typical Brit abroad spends over an hour each day deciding what to do. Moreover, 29% feel overwhelmed by the variety of options, and 18% often struggle for inspiration when going away, fearing they might miss out on essential activities.

Al Murray, a spokesman for a holiday company, highlighted how the process of choosing activities can hinder enjoyment while away. Twenty-five percent admitted to feeling stuck in a routine, and 69% have experienced envy when comparing their activities with those of friends and family.
