Man Utd receives major financial boost from Dortmund and Jadon Sancho – Daily Star

Sancho, 24, was loaned out to his former club in January. Dortmund paid an initial fee of €3.5 million plus a potential €4 million in add-ons for his services.

The winger played a significant role in Dortmund’s Champions League success in the past two rounds, with 86 minutes in a dramatic 4-2 win and 90 minutes in the away tie. He also scored in the return leg of the last-16 victory over PSV Eindhoven.

A source at United revealed that the club will receive a larger sum if Dortmund manages to overcome Paris Saint-Germain in the semis. Sancho will return to Manchester United after June 30 when his loan deal at Dortmund ends.

The additional finances bolster United’s chances of adhering to financial fair play and the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules, which other top-flight clubs have breached this season. Sancho fell out of favor at United at the beginning of this season.

The Red Devils are still expected to sell the forward they shelled out £73 million for in the summer of 2021, but it remains uncertain whether he will return to BVB.
